Boeken-Plein Return Policy
At Boeken-Plein, we believe it's important that you order your books with confidence. We do our best to carefully assemble each order and clearly describe the condition of our books.
Since we primarily sell second-hand books, each book is unique. A used book may have slight signs of use, such as a small scratch on the cover, a slight discoloration, or other normal signs of reading. These characteristics make a second-hand book special and give it its own history.
However, it can happen that a book does not meet your expectations. Therefore, we apply a return period of 14 days.

You have 14 days after receiving your order to register your return with us.

Conditions for returns
To return a book, it must:

Be in the same condition as when you received it.

Not have incurred additional damage after receipt.

Be complete and contain no missing pages or parts.

Be carefully packaged for return shipment.
For second-hand books, normal signs of use that were mentioned or visible beforehand are not a reason for return. This includes:

Slight discoloration of pages.

A small reading crease in the spine.

Light signs of wear.
We carefully inspect our books before shipping, so you know what to expect.
In addition, we need your proof of purchase or order details to process your return.
How does returning work?
Do you want to return an order? Follow these steps:

Carefully package the book to prevent damage during shipment.

Send the package back to the return address provided by us.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns sent without prior notification.

Received a damaged book or wrong order?
We pay close attention to checking and packaging our books.
However, if you have received a damaged book, your order is incorrect, or something else went wrong? Please contact us as soon as possible via:
If possible, include a photo of the problem. This way, we can quickly assess the situation and find a suitable solution together.
Exchanges
Since many of our second-hand books are unique items, we unfortunately cannot always supply the exact same book again.
Do you wish to receive a different book? You can return the received book according to our return procedure and then order a new book from our assortment (if available).
Statutory right of withdrawal (EU)
For customers within the European Union, the statutory right of withdrawal of 14 days applies.
This means you can indicate within 14 days of receiving your order that you wish to cancel the purchase, without having to give a reason.
The book must be returned in the same condition as you received it.
Refund
When we have received your return, we will carefully inspect the book.
After approval of the return, you will receive a confirmation and the purchase amount will be refunded via the same payment method used to place the order.
We process refunds as quickly as possible. Please note that it may take several business days for the amount to appear in your account, depending on your bank or payment provider.
