Parish in the Peel - Toon Kortooms

The story revolves around a young, somewhat naive but deeply good-natured chaplain who is sent to a newly established, extremely poor parish in the middle of the inhospitable Peel region.

The inhabitants of the Peel – the peat cutters, poachers, and small farmers – are a stubborn, idiosyncratic, and independent folk. Initially, they are not at all keen on this young 'city' busybody with his church rules. The chaplain literally and figuratively has to fight through the mud to win the trust of his new parishioners.
