-
Themes: The poems touch on everyday and universal human themes. These include love, impermanence, memories of the past, the beauty of the Limburg landscape and culture, but also personal struggles, hope, and sorrow.
-
The power of dialect: The use of dialect gives the poems an extra layer of intimacy, warmth, and nostalgia that is very recognizable to people from the region.
