The Kameleon in the spotlight

The theft: Money is suddenly stolen from the local notary.

The first suspect: Constable Zwart immediately thinks that the prankster Gerben Zonderland is the culprit. Gerben and Zwart are constantly at loggerheads. Fortunately, Gerben is quickly able to prove that he had nothing to do with it.

The disappearance: Shortly after, Harm van Swol, the notary's youngest clerk, disappears without a trace. Suspicion immediately shifts to him, and the police launch a large-scale search.

Hielke and Sietse in action: The twins don't trust the situation and decide to investigate themselves with the Kameleon to find Harm. However, this is not without its challenges: through their headstrong detective work, the boys accidentally find themselves in the police's 'spotlight' as potential suspects.
