Poor rich -- Toon Kortooms

Unlike many of his well-known novels (such as Beekman and Beekman), Poor Rich is a collection of 19 short stories and anecdotes. In it, Toon Kortooms looks back on his encounters with millionaires and multi-millionaires — also known as "rich scoundrels" by common folk.

The central message of the book is as ironic as it is tragic: those who are most materially blessed often turn out to be spiritually and emotionally destitute.
