Toon Kortooms, the regional novelist from Deurne who grew up in Griendtsveen, is inextricably linked to the Peel.

Toon Kortooms passed away 25 years ago this year, but happily his books are still very much alive. He gained much inspiration for his books in his youth.

With his rich imagination, he wrote over thirty novels and story collections.

He was very popular, but his books were not considered literature. Toon Kortooms didn't want them to be either; his goal was to provide relaxation and amusement to his countless readers.

Toon wanted to write books for everyone, and he certainly succeeded. More than two million copies of Beekman en Beekman were sold. Help de dokter verzuipt (which was also made into a film) was number 1 on the bestseller list for a year and a half.

The great thing is that we at boeken-plein can offer almost the entire series, in new condition, signed by Toon Kortooms, or second-hand.

Send an email or call for the possibilities.
